Here’s what no-one told you when climbing the corporate ladder or building your business:

Your biggest business blocks aren't actually business blocks - they're social blocks.

Your business and/or profession, if you care deeply, is often an extension of yourself (as a therapist who runs my own business, I get it). It’s a representation of you in society.

When something ‘represents’ us, our own blocks can come up.

That "imposter syndrome" keeping you stuck? It's actually old messages about not being good enough.

That "perfectionism trap"? It's actually fear rooted in past criticism or failure.

That "leadership hesitation" holding back your advancement? It's unprocessed experiences of being dismissed or invalidated.

That "burnout cycle"? It's your nervous system stuck in overdrive from past stress.

The truth is: every professional breakthrough requires overcoming the past experiences that created your current blocks.

Here’s what most coaches won’t tell you.

You can have the perfect business plan, flawless marketing strategy, and incredible expertise - but if your nervous system is wired to avoid rejection, minimise yourself, or hide your true capabilities, your business and career will mirror those limitations.

You don't have to fake it till you make it. You can genuinely build it. Let me show you how.

Do you find yourself…

Feeling like an imposter despite your achievements?

Replaying professional interactions?

Struggling with low confidence?

Caught in cycles of overworking?

Unable to trust your own professional judgment or business instincts?

Finding that past workplace trauma (e.g. business betrayals, bullying, bankruptcy), business failures, or harsh criticism continues to impact how you show up professionally or run your business?

Paralysed by fear of failure that keeps you playing small or avoiding the bold moves your business needs?

If these experiences resonate with you, you're often not dealing with simple procrastination or "performance issues" - you might be experiencing the impact of professional trauma, perfectionism, or blocking beliefs, that live in your nervous system and shape how you navigate your career or build your business.

My Method: A Two-Pronged Approach to Transformation

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching

Stop What's Keeping You Stuck

We identify and interrupt the thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviours that keep you playing small or sabotaging your success. This includes:

  • Challenging limiting beliefs

  • Recognising self-sabotage patterns before they derail your progress

  • Developing new thought patterns that support your current life, not your old one

  • Building practical skills to manage anxiety, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome

  • Creating new behavioural patterns that align with your goals

EMDR-Informed Coaching

  • Process family guilt, shame, or pressure around your success

  • Transform traumatic memories that trigger feelings of "not belonging"

  • Release old identities that no longer serve you

  • Integrate your achievements at a deeper level so you truly own them

FAQs

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy technique originally developed for trauma that uses bilateral stimulation (like guided eye movements) to help your brain process stuck emotions and memories. It’s got a wide evidence base and is used in the NHS.

EMDR coaching takes these same principles and applies them to professional challenges.

Instead of just talking about why you freeze up in presentations or avoid networking, we actually process the underlying blocks that created those responses.

    Here's what makes it different:

Traditional coaching: "Let's strategise how to overcome your fear of visibility."

EMDR coaching: "Let's process and release the stored fear so visibility feels natural."

    In practice, it looks like:

    • Identifying the specific memories or beliefs blocking your professional growth

    • Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or audio tones) while processing these experiences

    • Watching your nervous system calm down and your confidence naturally emerge

    • Installing new, empowering beliefs about your professional worth

The result? Instead of managing your triggers with coping strategies, you actually resolve them.

You may find other coaches don’t offer this. This is because generally EMDR can only be offered by qualified therapists.

  • We start by talking - identifying what professional challenge is bothering you most.

Then we trace it back. What does this feeling remind you of? Often there's a specific memory - being criticised by a teacher, a humiliating work presentation, or even childhood experiences of feeling "not good enough." You may not know now, and that’s ok.

Here's where EMDR gets interesting: While you think about that memory, I'll guide you through bilateral stimulation.

It sounds weird, but it works. The eye movements help your brain process the stuck emotion attached to that memory. You might notice the memory becoming less vivid, the emotional charge decreasing, or new insights emerging naturally.

We keep going until that memory no longer triggers you. Then we install a new, empowering belief like "I am capable and worthy of success."

The whole thing takes 60-90 minutes. You'll likely feel lighter, calmer, and notice that professional trigger doesn't hit the same way anymore.

Best part? You don't have to relive trauma, event, or dig into painful details. Your brain does the healing work - I just facilitate the process.

Most clients are surprised how gentle and natural it feels, even when processing difficult experiences.
