CONFIDENCE COACHING WITH SOPHIA SPENCER

Empowering ambitious people to transform self-doubt into unshakeable confidence and claim their next level with confidence coaching.

You do deserve to own your worth—even if that feels uncomfortable to accept.

You dream of a life where:

  • You speak up confidently in any room you enter

  • People see you as the capable leader you've become, not who you used to be

  • You trust your decisions without second-guessing every move

  • You pursue ambitious goals without imposter syndrome holding you back

  • You don't shrink yourself to make others comfortable

But no matter how much you achieve, you still feel live with that nagging voice of self-doubt that stops you from taking your life to the next level.

Here’s what most coaches won’t tell you.

Confidence isn't something you have to build from scratch—it's something you uncover by removing what's blocking it. It starts with that unshakeable self-assurance that's already inside you, that inner knowing you deserve to be exactly where you are. That's what I call Inner Authority.

You don't have to fake it till you make it. You can genuinely undo the barriers that are hiding your natural confidence. Let me show you how.

Hi, I'm Sophia!

I'm on a mission to help ambitious individuals develop the unshakeable confidence to match their achievements, what I call Inner Authority.

As someone who's built success on my own terms—I've rejected conventional paths multiple times. I left a top law school, walked away from one of the UK's most competitive graduate scheme (yes, everyone thought I'd lost my mind), and moved countries to build the life I actually wanted instead of following someone else's blueprint. Now, I confidently lead a business and lifestyle that seemed impossible when I started.

I've seen what separates high achievers who truly own their success from those who feel like imposters despite their accomplishments—and it has nothing to do with your credentials, how hard you work, or even your track record.

It's about developing genuine inner authority and the social presence to command any room you've earned the right to be in.

If you're ambitious, successful, but still feeling like you're performing confidence rather than truly embodying it, you're in the right place.

CYCLE BREAKER COACHING THERAPY SOPHIA

My Method: A Two-Pronged Approach to Transformation

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching

Stop What's Keeping You Stuck

We identify and interrupt the thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviours that keep you playing small or sabotaging your success. This includes:

  • Dismantling limiting beliefs that make you question your worth

  • Recognising self-doubt patterns before they undermine your decisions

  • Clearing mental blocks that keep you from speaking up or taking action

  • Building practical skills to quiet your inner critic and trust yourself

  • Creating new neural pathways that support your authentic confidence, not old insecurities

NOTE: This is not CBT (a therapeutic approach, although based on similar principles). Please see FAQs for further info on this.

EMDR-Informed Coaching

Enhance Performance & Leave Legacies Behind

We use EMDR (a technique originally from therapy, but can now be used to enhance performance) to process and integrate past experiences that still impact your present confidence. This allows you to:

  • Clearing emotional blocks that traditional coaching can't touch

  • Processing shame, criticism, or rejection that still echoes in your mind

  • Transforming past experiences that trigger self-doubt or imposter feelings

  • Releasing old versions of yourself that whisper "you're not qualified"

  • Integrating your achievements at a nervous system level so you truly feel them

  • Freeing your natural self-assurance from whatever's been keeping it buried

  • Develop belief in the confident part of yourself

NOTE: This is not therapeutic EMDR (EMDR focused on processing traumatic experiences). Please see FAQs for further info on this.

We're all familiar with successful people who still feel like frauds, second-guess every decision, or hold themselves back from opportunities they've clearly earned.

Life as an ambitious person isn't always easy—you're constantly navigating between your old self-doubts and your new achievements. You may have accomplished so much that your younger self wouldn't recognise you, but somehow you still don't feel fully at home in your success.

My goal for these coaching sessions is to give you the mindset tools and inner clarity you need to own your achievements with authentic confidence.

If you want a long, fulfilling life in the world you've built, you need to take care of your most important asset: your unshakeable belief that you belong exactly where you are.

Investing in your confidence isn't a nice-to-have—it's essential.

FAQs

  • No, while they share similar principles, they serve different purposes. CBT is a therapeutic approach designed to treat mental health conditions like anxiety (including social anxiety) and depression by addressing dysfunctional thought patterns and behavious. It's typically used when someone is struggling with clinical symptoms that interfere with daily functioning.

CBC applies cognitive-behavioural techniques in a coaching context for people who are generally functioning well but want to optimise their performance, break limiting patterns, or achieve specific goals. It's forward-focused and goal-oriented rather than treatment-focused.

In my practice, I use CBC with ambitious individuals who want to build genuine confidence, overcome imposter syndrome, or develop stronger social presence. You're not "broken" or seeking therapy - you're already successful and want to perform at an even higher level.

The techniques may be similar (challenging unhelpful thoughts, changing behavioural patterns), but the context and goals are different. CBC is about enhancement and optimisation, while CBT is about healing and recovery.

  • EMDR therapy is a clinical treatment for trauma, PTSD, and mental health conditions including social anxiety. It's designed to help people heal from traumatic memories and symptoms that are significantly impacting their daily functioning and wellbeing.

EMDR-informed high performance coaching uses similar techniques but in a coaching context for ambitious individuals who want to clear performance blocks and optimise their potential.

You're not seeking treatment for mental health issues - you're already successful and want to perform at an even higher level.

In therapy: We might process childhood trauma, heal PTSD symptoms, or address clinical social anxiety/depression.

In coaching: We might clear limiting beliefs from your family background, process imposter syndrome blocks, or remove emotional barriers to taking bigger risks in your career.

Both can help you move past old patterns, but the goals are different. Therapy is about healing and recovery from distress. Coaching is about optimisation and reaching your full potential.

If you're functioning well but feel held back by old patterns, family conditioning, or success blocks, EMDR-informed coaching helps you clear those barriers without needing to be in a therapeutic relationship.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy technique originally developed for trauma that uses bilateral stimulation (like guided eye movements) to help your brain process stuck emotions and memories. It’s got a wide evidence base and is used in the NHS.

EMDR coaching takes these same principles and applies them to professional challenges.

Instead of just talking about why you freeze up in presentations or avoid networking, we actually process the underlying blocks that created those responses.

    Here's what makes it different:

Traditional coaching: "Let's strategise how to overcome your fear of visibility."

EMDR coaching: "Let's process and release the stored fear so visibility feels natural."

    In practice, it looks like:

    • Identifying the specific memories or beliefs blocking your professional growth

    • Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or audio tones) while processing these experiences

    • Watching your nervous system calm down and your confidence naturally emerge

    • Installing new, empowering beliefs about your professional worth

The result? Instead of managing your triggers with coping strategies, you actually resolve them.

You may find other coaches don’t offer this. This is because generally EMDR can only be offered by qualified therapists.

  • We start by talking - identifying what professional challenge is bothering you most.

Then we trace it back. What does this feeling remind you of? Often there's a specific memory - being criticised by a teacher, a humiliating work presentation, or even childhood experiences of feeling "not good enough." You may not know now, and that’s ok.

Here's where EMDR gets interesting: While you think about that memory, I'll guide you through bilateral stimulation.

It sounds weird, but it works. The eye movements help your brain process the stuck emotion attached to that memory. You might notice the memory becoming less vivid, the emotional charge decreasing, or new insights emerging naturally.

We keep going until that memory no longer triggers you. Then we install a new, empowering belief like "I am capable and worthy of success."

The whole thing takes 60-90 minutes. You'll likely feel lighter, calmer, and notice that professional trigger doesn't hit the same way anymore.

Best part? You don't have to relive trauma, event, or dig into painful details. Your brain does the healing work - I just facilitate the process.

Most clients are surprised how gentle and natural it feels, even when processing difficult experiences.

  • This varies depending on your goals and history. I can offer you a clear guide at our assessment.

  • This is best discussed in our free call to determine your ultimate goals and difficulties, and what’s likely to be effective.

Therapy vs. Coaching

Social anxiety therapy is right for you if:

  • You're dealing with social anxiety and/or other mental health conditions

  • You have unresolved trauma that significantly impacts your daily life

  • You experience significant emotion that blocks you from being who you want to be, whether that’s anxiety, shame, low mood or others

  • You need to work through deep emotional wounds

  • You're looking for clinical treatment

  • You want to understand the "why" behind your patterns and behaviours

Confidence coaching is right for you if:

  • You feel mentally healthy but want to enhance your performance

  • You know what you want but lack the confidence to go after it

  • You second-guess yourself despite having the skills and experience

  • You want practical tools to show up more confidently in specific situations

  • You're ready to take action and see measurable results

  • You're focused on "how" to move forward, not "why" you're stuck

You can also combine therapy and coaching depending on your needs and location.
